Focus on Fair Haven Newsletter
The Mayor regularly contributes to the Borough's monthly newsletter, Focus on Fair Haven, on a variety of municipal and community matters.

Family Life:
A lifelong resident of Fair Haven, Mayor Halfacre and his wife Tricia have three children, ages 11 years old, 10 years old and 2
years old, attend or will attend Fair Haven's schools.
Community Involvement:
He has served Fair Haven as a member of the Board of
Education, a member of the Borough Council, as Municipal Prosecutor, and for
the last ten years as the School Board Attorney.
Additionally, he has served on the Boards of the Fair
Haven Community Appeal, the Fair Haven Education Foundation, and Fair Haven
Parents for Parks. He has also provided legal services for no
charge to each of those organizations as well as the Fair Haven Garden Club. He is an Affiliate Member of the Fair Haven Fire Company.
Education:
He earned a B.S. in Political Science from Florida State University, where he was a Co-Captain of the Varsity Swim Team, and a Law
Degree from The University of Dayton. He was admitted to practice law in New Jersey in 1991.
Experience and
Qualifications:
Mayor Halfacre has been a Trustee of the Monmouth Bar
Association, the New Jersey State Bar Foundation, and Ocean-Monmouth Legal
Services. He has served the towns of Little Silver, Rumson, Tinton Falls, Keansburg, and Middletown as Municipal Prosecutor or Alternate Municipal
Prosecutor. He has served the Borough of Little Silver as its Board of
Adjustment Attorney. He has been certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as
Civil Trial Attorney. His own law office opened in Little Silver in 1997, where he has
practiced law as a sole practitioner since that time.
Spare time:
Mayor Halfacre competes in Triathlons, and is an
avid swimmer, cyclist and runner. He has completed seven Ironman Triathlons
(2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run).

Jon Peters is married with two small children, both in Sickles School. He is an Assistant Professor of Finance at The College of Staten Island. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from The City University of New York. A lifelong sailor, Jon moved to Fair Haven to remain close to the ocean and boating. He has published articles and lectured on historic preservation, corporate finance and regional planning.

UnitedStates Army from 1973 to 1977.

Jim was born in Staten Island and has been a Fair Haven resident since 1993. He and his wife, have been married for fourteen years and have one daughter. Jim is a graduate of Wagner College with a B.S. in Economics. He has been employed in the mortgage industry since May 1983. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling and sailing.

retired Fair Haven Police Officer, a graduate of Rumson Fair Haven High School, received his B.S. from Thomas Edison, his MAS from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is currently studying for his J.D. at New York Law.
