The Department of Public Works consists of 12 full-time employees, which include the Supervisor, Foreman, Mechanic, and Laborers. Responsibilities include maintenance of buildings and grounds, municipal roads; trash, recycling, brush, and leaf collection; snow removal; and Borough vehicles maintenance.
Recycling Center: Monday-Friday: 8:00 a.m to dusk, Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to dusk, Sunday: Closed Closed on observed public holidays.
Bulk Drop-off: 1st Saturday of each Month, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Due to the increased cost of disposing appliances, a $15 fee will is required for appliances that are discarded at the DPW yard as well as those collected curbside. A sticker must be obtained from the Municipal Clerk's Office prior to taking the item(s) to the DPW yard on the first Saturday of a month.
The following items are classed as appliances: Washer, Dryer, Dishwasher, Stove, Refrigerator/Freezers (doors must be removed), Air Conditioners, and Water Heaters.
