Family Life:
I am a lifelong resident of Fair Haven, I am fortunate to live here with my amazing and supportive wife, Tricia, to raise my family here, and to provide for my children the wonderful environment that I had while growing up in town.
My three children, ages 11 years old, 10 years old and 2 years old, attend or will attend Fair Haven's schools. Following in my footsteps, they will take advantage of the various recreation programs in town.
Community Involvement:
I have served our town as a member of the Board of Education, a member of the Borough Council, as Municipal Prosecutor, and for the last ten years as the School Board Attorney.
Additionally, I have served on the Boards of the Fair Haven Community Appeal, the Fair Haven Education Foundation, and Fair Haven Parents for Parks. Over the years, I have also provided legal services for no charge to each of those organizations as well as the Fair Haven Garden Club. I am an Affiliate Member of the Fair Haven Fire Company.
Education:
I have a B.S. in Political Science from Florida State University, where I was a Co-Captain of the Varsity Swim Team, and a Law Degree from The University of Dayton. I was admitted to practice law in New Jersey in 1991.
Experience and Qualifications:
I have been a Trustee of the Monmouth Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Foundation, and Ocean-Monmouth Legal Services. I have served the towns of Little Silver, Rumson, Tinton Falls, Keansburg, and Middletown as Municipal Prosecutor or Alternate Municipal Prosecutor. I have served the Borough of Little Silver as its Board of Adjustment Attorney. I have been certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as Civil Trial Attorney. I opened my own office in Little Silver in 1997 and have practiced law as a sole practitioner since that time.
Spare time:
In my spare time, I compete in Triathlons, and am an avid swimmer, cyclist and runner. I have completed seven Ironman Triathlons (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run).

Dan: a graduate of Knollwood School, RFH High School and presently is a senior engineering major at Carnegie Mellon University.

Jon Peters is married with two small children, both in Sickles School. He is an Assistant Professor of Finance at The College of Staten Island. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from The City University of New York. A lifelong sailor, Jon moved to Fair Haven to remain close to the ocean and boating. He has published articles and lectured on historic preservation, corporate finance and regional planning.
