Dery's Pond Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

On Tuesday, August 3rd, the Borough will be formally dedicating Dery’s Pond in the Fair Haven Fields Natural Area. Dery Bennett was a vital part of the community offering numerous years of service to the Borough of Fair Haven and the County of Monmouth who passed away in the spring of 2010. Dery Bennett was an active member of the Fair Haven Fields Natural Area Committee, Littoral Society and Clean Ocean Action. He was an avid fisherman, birdwatcher, author and life enthusiast. Mr. Bennett directed special projects and focused on educating youth on all aspects of nature and preserving what was natural beauty belonging to the birds, fish and all forms of wildlife. The Pond will be dedicated in his honor.
