Traffic Safety

The traffic safety unit's responsibility is to evaluate all traffic concerns throughout the borough. The unit conducts traffic safety studies, meets with residents when they have a concern, and investigates all major motor vehicle accidents. Similarly, the unit utilizes specialty equipment to aid them in providing the most updated and efficient resources to assist the motorist and pedestrians in town. The message/radar traffic board is used to display any given message programmed into it to warn motorist of a potential traffic situation ahead. It can also detect and display the speed of vehicles. The traffic safety unit also has a traffic survey device that is capable of measuring the volume and speed of vehicles in a particular area to address traffic safety concerns.
