A message from Mayor Ben Lucarelli

I hope that you and your family are staying safe and connected during these trying times.  The health and safety of our residents remain paramount and we are eager to help our small local businesses as we prepare for the next Re-Entering Phase.  

• Updated on the 2 new Committees: 
  • Brush Site –Councilmembers Chris Rodriguez & Betsy Koch are moving ahead
    • They have Finalized the committee’s  Charter & Mission 
    • Are now focused on assembling committee members with anticipation of having ready for approval for the June 8, 2020 Council Meeting 
  • Businesses Re-Opening - Councilmembers Susan Sorensen & Betsy Koch 
    • We had a successful meeting with the Fair Haven Business Association (FHBA) to discuss the reopening process
    • Prepared Resolutions for approval for the June 8, 2020 Council Meeting that will facilitate the issuance of permits for the opening of:
      • Outdoor Dining 
      • Fitness and Exercise 
      • Retail Sidewalk Sales 
• Congratulations to all of our 2020 Fair Haven Knollwood Graduates and to the BOE and School Administration for their extraordinary efforts to create a memorable experience! 
  • You may see Superintendent Sean McNeil and Knollwood Principal Amy Romano out and about town
  • They are visiting EVERY 8th Grader’s home to video and present the graduates with their Diplomas
  • They then will produce a virtual Graduation ceremony for all to enjoy

Please remain mindful of social distancing – even though some businesses are opening up, we all have to remain vigilant in keeping everyone safe, especially our most vulnerable.
