Message from the Office of Emergency Management

July 23, 2020

Dear Fair Haven Residents,

As of this date, we have five (5) active confirmed cases of COVID-19 within the Borough.  Over the past nineteen weeks we have had a combined total of 38 confirmed cases.  Please keep in mind that there may be small increases due to more testing being administered. Still, in all we maintain a considerably low number of cases in comparison to surrounding towns of our size.

We are happy to see so many folks out and about enjoying the warm weather while continuing to adhere to social distancing guidelines. Just as a reminder, to use caution and abide by CDC guidelines to make sure that we keep the number of new cases at a steady pace.  As always, the residents and business owners of Fair Haven have been doing an amazing job of following the guidelines.

With the anticipation of school beginning in September, comes an increase in pedestrian and vehicular traffic on our roadways and walking areas.  Please be cognizant of speed limits and pedestrian as your travel around town.  We are very hopeful for schools to open and to get back to some sort of normalcy.

The Police Department, and Office of Emergency Management will continue to monitor the evolving situation and will provide updates as they become available. We hope that everyone will continue to stay safe, be well and have a great rest of the summer.

Chief Joseph P. McGovern, Fair Haven Police Dept./OEM
