Occupation/Achievements: 
Mrs. Cole has fifteen years experience in community planning, design, real estate, and marketing. Her specialized focus is in comprehensive downtown redevelopment through thoughtful place making strategies that express a community’s inherent identity. Most recently, she served as President of The Agora Coalition, a not-for-profit consulting initiative founded by renowned author and political theorist Dr. Benjamin Barber of the Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society.  Prior to that she was the Executive Director of the RiverCenter, the BID for Red Bank, NJ. Under her leadership, Red Bank was designated a leading model for best practices in downtown revitalization.  Prior to her work with Red Bank, Tracy worked with The National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Main Street Program.

Her work has garnered awards and recognition from organizations representing various industries such as tourism, economic development and design. At the request of the NJ Department of Community Affairs she, co-authored a course workbook on Downtown Revitalization, and taught the pilot course. Tracy was selected by NJ Transit and Projects for Public Spaces to serve as a member of the US delegation sponsored by the German Marshall Fund.  The delegation, made up of planning and transportation officials, studied transportation and land use relationships in Germany to learn more about how dignity in transportation and place enhance livability and economic development.  Tracy has frequently served as a speaker at economic development conferences, marketing associations, downtown redevelopment conferences and community based organizations throughout New Jersey.

Tracy’s work has been covered in the Urban Land Institute, New York Times, Washington Post, and The Boston Herald, New Jersey Monthly Magazine, Two River Times, Star Ledger and she was featured as one of New Jersey’s Top 40 Under 40 business leaders.

Education: 
Tracy has a Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning from The Pennsylvania State University, Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, and a Master of Landscape Architecture from North Carolina State University School of Design.

Personal: 
Tracy lives in Fair Haven, NJ where she had the privilege of serving on Fair Haven’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Planning Committee that resulted in Fair Haven’s Active Transportation Plan. Tracy, her husband Chris and their two daughters, share their home with a very handsome English Golden named Kyro, a small beagle named Penny, a cat named Blackberry and bunny named Tulip.
