Firearms Information
As of July 23, 2020, the Fair Haven Police Department are no longer accepting hand written or printed Firearms paperwork. Under the direction of the NJSP Firearms Investigation Unit, everything will now be completed online.
The entire online process through the Firearms Application & Registration System (F.A.R.S.) streamlines the process for the applicant. Everything needed is right on the NJSP website and self-explanatory.
Please follow the steps below to complete the application process.
-Scroll down and click on Apply for firearms permit/ FID card
-Click on the F.A.R.S. portal/link
-Fair Haven ORI# NJ0131300
-Continue with the step by step instructions to complete the application.
-Upon completing the fingerprint process through IdentoGo, the applicant must bring in a copy of the printed out receipt and/or the original along with the associated fee listed below.
-Fees remain the same and can be dropped off to FHPD
- Firearms ID Card $5.00
- Handgun permits $2.00/ permit
- Check made out to "Borough of Fair Haven"
